The SASMT administers the following bursaries and scholarships for music study in South Africa:
David Reunert Bursary (R1500)
Ellie Marx Memorial Scholarship for String Instruments (R5000)
Gladwell Scholarship (R12000)
Kathleen Irish Scholarship (R10000)
Bursary Fields
Music
Who Can Apply
David Reunart Bursary - students intending to take up music professionally, as teacher or performer.
Ellie Marx - promising students in study of stringed instruments, particularly the violin.
Gladwell Scholarship - awarded for study of serious music, instrumental, vocal or composition.
Kathleen Irish Scholarship - to support financially needy, but promising music pupils wishing to study piano at tertiary level.
