Bursaries By Study Field : Teaching

The ETDP Bursary is for the following scarce skill fields: • NPDE and PGCE (teaching) • B.Ed Mathematics and Science • B.Ed Foundation Phase • Certificate in Education • B Com • BSc Applied Mathematics • Masters in Commerce • ACE in Leadership and Management • Computer Studies • Human Resources Management • Public Finance.

The Funza Lushaka Bursary Programme is a multi-year programme that promotes teaching in public schools. Full-cost bursaries are available to enable eligible students to complete a full teaching qualification in an area of national priority. Recipients of these bursaries will be required to teach at a public school for the same number of years that they receive the bursary.

ISASA is an independent (private) schools association in the Southern African region. It is a non-profit organisation, which represents its members. ISASA is offering prospective Foundation Phase, Intermediate and FET teachers the opportunity to win bursaries to study for a four year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or a one year post graduate (PGCE) degree at UNISA.

This bursary is available for further study in SPEECH TRAINING, ORAL COMMUNICATION OR THE TEACHING OF ENGLISH AS A FIRST or SECOND LANGUAGE. The bursary is available ONLY to QUALIFIED TEACHERS (minimum M+3) with at least FOUR (4) YEARS TEACHING EXPERIENCE. The course can be by correspondence, part-time or full-time, but must be undertaken at an educational institution in SOUTH AFRICA.
